Wild Camping at Lige Village - Lugu Lake

Getting There - From Daluoshui village it’s easy to hire a local car to take you straight to Lige Village. For me, I hiked and hitchhiked to Lige from Daluoshui both times when I visited the lake.


After a winter hike around the lake, I was excited to go back and experience how the lake is during the summer.

And after hiking all around Lugu Lake, I feel Lige village is the most lively place at the lake. The local villages and ancient architecture are still kept intact there despite it being the most visited place by the lake.

My friend who is running a guesthouse at Lige showed me an area close to the village right behind the grand Shennv Mountain. I right away felt that this spot is gonna be amazing for camping. And so I did camp out there.

Facing the lake and right in front of the mountains, this spot is just the perfect place to appreciate everything the lake has to offer.
