The Yashi Yew Scenic Area in the Healthy Longevity Village is located in southwest Luoyang City, 128 kilometers from the city. It's 19 kilometers from the Jiulongshan exit of the Luoluan Expressway to the scenic area. It's located north of Luanchuan County, 22 kilometers from the county seat. The scenic area boasts stunning natural scenery and covers an area of 36 square kilometers. It is divided into two tourist areas. The first, the Yew Scenic Area, is known for its ten pools and nine waterfalls, boasting a profusion of wild fruits and delicacies, especially the national treasure, the Yew. The second, the Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area, stretches 5 kilometers, with 95% of the canyon covered in forest. The Qinglong Gorge Waterfall is considered a unique waterfall in the Western Henan Scenic Area.
Yew trees not only offer miraculous protection against various cancers, high blood pressure, and diabetes, but also absorb nitric oxide, carbon dioxide, and other carcinogens from the air. Regularly breathing these gases promotes health and longevity. The Yew Scenic Area, in particular, still maintains the folk customs of using wild wood for fires, cooking in iron pots, and making handmade steamed buns. Each farmhouse has its own vegetable garden, and the unique, original farmhouses offer visitors a true experience of rural life. Yew bonsai are placed in the bedrooms and courtyards of every guesthouse, helping to purify the air. Entire farmhouses feature intertwined groves of wild bamboo, a major attraction. Delicious wild fruits are available on the mountain all year round, and the spring water is cool and sweet, perfect for drinking naturally. The scenic area has a total of 75 scenic spots and covers an area of 26 square kilometers, making it suitable for leisurely walks.
