The National AAAA Tourist Attraction — The Colorful Sand Forest is located within Majie Town of Lujiang County in the southern part of Qujing City, Yunnan Province. Covering an area of 25 square kilometers, with a protected area of 52.8 square kilometers, it is an important scenic spot on the premium travel route of Yunnan. It is 18 kilometers south of Lujiang County, 40 kilometers from the Stone Forest, 130 kilometers from Kunming, 50 kilometers from Luxi, and 96 kilometers from Luoping.
