Luoping County is located about 200km east of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

It is not very familiar to Japanese people, but it is home to the "Luoping rapeseed field," which is popular with camera enthusiasts around the world.

It is as large as the area of ​​Tokyo, and as far as the eye can see, it is a carpet of bright yellow rapeseed flowers.

The rapeseed field season is from February to mid-April. The best time to see it is usually from late February to early March.

There are mainly two viewpoints.

- Niujie Luozitian...rapeseed fields planted in spiral geometric patterns
- Jinjifeng...rural area dotted with small hills of karst topography

Both have observation decks (paid).
