The Zhu Xi Memorial Hall is located on Wuyi Palace Ancient Street. The east corridor of the memorial hall displays a variety of contents such as the inheritance of Zhu Xi's philosophy, his numerous works, the descendants of Zhu Xi's philosophy, his influence abroad, his influence at home, the four international academic conferences on Zhu Xi's philosophy, the cultural relics of Zhu Xi in northern Fujian, and the descendants of Zhu Xi. The exhibition is dazzling and colorful, vividly showing the grand occasion of Zhu Xi's philosophy that connects ancient and modern times and spreads far overseas.
The memorial hall, a rectangular building modeled after a Song Dynasty palace, faces south and is composed of a front hall, two corridors, a courtyard, and an exhibition hall (main hall). Two stone tablets stand in the central pavilion of the east corridor. One is a Han Dynasty sacrificial tablet, with an inscription describing the grand ceremonies of the Han and Ming dynasties' imperial courts honoring Wuyi Jun. The other is a preface to the Wuyi Mountain map, inscribed with Zhu Xi's 270- character preface to the Wuyi Mountain map painted by Gao Wenju, the supervisor of Chongyou Temple . Two large characters, " loyalty " and " filial piety , " are also inlaid on the wall in Zhu Xi's handwriting. A plaque reads, " Virtue matches heaven and earth ," in Zhu Xi's handwriting .
