🏛️ Attraction background decryption
Guanlin is the only holy place for Guan Yu worship in China, which is known as the "Two Holy Forests of Wen and Wu" along with the Confucius Forest in Shandong. According to legend, Guan Yu's head (219 AD) was buried here, and emperors of all dynasties continued to seal it, forming the grand complex of buildings today. It is now a national key cultural relic protection unit and a 4A-level scenic spot.
