China First Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as FAW Group, China FAW or FAW, English name FAW), is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, China. It was formerly the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant. The plant name was written by Mao Zedong himself and was founded by Rao Bin. The foundation stone was laid on July 15, 1953.
After more than 60 years of development, China FAW has become a large state-owned automobile enterprise group with an annual production and sales of 3 million vehicles, and its total production and sales volume has always ranked first in the industry.
