Enjoying Peonies at the Luoyang Sui-Tang City Ruins Botanical Garden

April marks the peony season in Luoyang. After checking the latest flower updates on Luoyang Bendi Bao, I decided to visit the Sui-Tang City Ruins Botanical Garden, which reportedly has 62% of its peonies in bloom (entrance fee: ¥38).

Although reports claim the garden boasts over 600 varieties of peonies, walking through the main flower areas, it seemed there were only a few dozen varieties concentrated. When I visited in mid-April, more than half of the flowers had already wilted, and the overall bloom condition wasn't ideal. However, the sight of a large-scale peony garden (not just potted plants) and the rare, specially protected variety 'Silver Thread Crown' made the ticket price worthwhile.
