Gahai Lake, a place straight out of an oil painting

Gahai Lake was an unexpected treasure! Truly breathtaking to the point of speechlessness! No wonder it’s called the "Pearl of Gannan"!
It’s not just an ordinary lake, but an "unpolished sapphire" in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Imagine, in the middle of a vast grassland, suddenly spreading out an endless blue mirror — that’s the first stunning impression Gahai Lake gives you.
The "locals" here are pretty cool:
Gahai Lake is the "international airport" and "five-star resort" for migratory birds. Every spring and summer, VIPs like black-necked cranes, gray geese, and swans come here for vacation. If you’re lucky, you can see black-necked cranes performing an elegant "ballet" by the water. They are national first-class protected animals, true "stars of the lake"!
A fun little fact:
Gahai Lake has a "low-key stubborn temperament." It has no obvious entrance but never dries up, mainly nourished by underground springs and rainwater. That’s why Tibetans regard it as a "holy lake" spread by the gods on the plateau, pure and full of spiritual energy.
Travel tips:
· Listen quietly: Don’t just focus on taking photos, close your eyes and listen to the symphony of wind, water, and birdsong — a "natural album" you can’t buy in the city.
· Be a good guest: We come quietly and leave quietly, not disturbing the birds’ lives or leaving any trash behind.
A true mirror of the sky on the plateau!
