Green Island|Your Ultimate 3-Day, 2-Night Travel Guide

Where to go this summer? Green Island, of course!
📝 Itinerary:
1️⃣ Day 1:
🚞 Taipei Main Station → Taitung Train Station: About 4 hours by train
Arrive at Taitung Train Station at 12 PM, then take a taxi to Fugang Harbor (about 15 minutes).
🚢 Board the ferry to Green Island at 1:30 PM (the journey takes about an hour).
(Note: There are only two ferry departures daily—9:30 AM and 1:30 PM.)
Arrive on the island at 2:30 PM, drop off your luggage at your accommodation (some lodgings offer luggage transport services; check with your specific accommodation), and rent an electric scooter.
🛵 If it's your first time riding an electric scooter, reserve about 30 minutes to learn.
♨️ Head to Zhaori Hot Springs at sunset.
(Remember to buy shrimp and eggs beforehand to cook in the hot springs; prices at the hot springs are much higher.)
Hot springs operating hours: 4 AM–11 PM. You can also visit early in the morning to catch the sunrise.
✨ On your way, you'll pass by Dabaisha Beach. If you're not afraid of the dark, you can stargaze there at night.

2️⃣ Day 2:
Morning: Snorkeling
Afternoon: Island tour by scooter
Recommended stops: Dabaisha Beach, Youzi Lake, Niutoushan (Ox Head Mountain), Human Rights Memorial Park, and any other spots you like—feel free to stop anytime.
Evening: Intertidal zone exploration
🍹 At night, you can also visit a bar for a few drinks.

3️⃣ Day 3:
🏖️ Visit any spots you missed during your island tour.
Shop for Green Island specialties like deer meat, dried fish, and edible bird's nest.
🐟 Honey-glazed flying fish is a must-try!
For postcard and stamp collectors, buy postcards at roadside convenience stores and get them stamped at the visitor center.
🚢 Board the ferry at 2:30 PM to return.

📝 Travel Tips:
1. Remember to take motion sickness medication 30 minutes before boarding the ferry. If you're prone to seasickness, choose a seat at the back of the first floor.
2. Apply sunscreen diligently—Green Island's UV rays are extremely strong. If you'll be in contact with seawater, use ocean-friendly sunscreen products.
3. Green Island has a post office ATM, but it only accepts Taiwan bank cards. Most transactions on the island are cash-based, so bring enough cash to avoid issues withdrawing money.
