Exploring the Timeless Memories of the Harbor

Day 1: Blessings and Stories of the Port
In the early morning, we visited the ancient A-Ma Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty, located at the southern tip of the Macau Peninsula. This temple carries the fishermen's prayers for safety at sea. Walking through the incense-filled courtyard, we admired the exquisite eaves and carvings, where history and devout faith intertwine. Inside the temple, the main hall dedicated to the goddess Mazu is simple and elegant, and I silently made my own wishes. Afterwards, we strolled along the seaside promenade next to the temple, listening to the sound of waves crashing against the shore, feeling the close connection between the temple and the sea.

Day 2: Continuation of History and Culture
On the second day, we visited the Mandarin's House, located on Rua da Felicidade. This grand residence seems to transport you back to 19th-century Macau. Its deep courtyards and intricate layout perfectly showcase the architectural features of the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures. Every carved window and supporting beam seems to whisper the past glories of the family. After leaving the Mandarin's House, we took a break at a teahouse on Rua da Felicidade, savoring a cup of rich milk tea, adding a warm memory to our journey.
