Lai Heen

#MacauFoodGuide
Lai Heen is located on the top floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Macau and is well-known among high-end foodies as a Michelin one-star Cantonese restaurant. The restaurant is elegantly decorated, using blue and white jade, hollow screens, and jade porcelain utensils to create a luxurious space that is both classical and modern. There are several private rooms, suitable for private banquets and celebratory gatherings. The menu mainly features high-end exquisite Cantonese cuisine. Recommended dishes include crispy silver cod, which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with rich fish oil; whole fish maw stewed with bird's nest, with a clear soup like jade, which is nourishing and beautifying; baked shrimp balls with port wine sauce are fragrant but not greasy, perfectly showcasing the fusion of Chinese and Western seasonings. The dim sum is equally outstanding, with creative styles such as gold foil siomai and foie gras barbecued pork buns. In terms of service, the waiters are well-trained, the details are handled accurately, and the dishes are served at just the right pace. Not only are the dishes at Lai Heen amazing, but the overall dining experience is comparable to that of top hotel Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong. Although the prices are high, they are worth the money. It is a great choice for business banquets, anniversaries or those seeking the ultimate Cantonese cuisine experience.
