Plan a 9-hour trip in Macau

🇲🇴 Plan a 10-hour trip in Macau: Where to go?
Since I have a 10-hour layover in Macau on my way back from Shanghai, I thought it would be a good idea to explore the Taipa side of the city. This trip will start around noon and last until the evening, leaving enough time to return to the airport. It's a relaxed itinerary, perfect for a leisurely city stroll, and transportation is quite convenient.

Starting from Macau Airport:
• A-Ma Temple
A historic temple in Macau where you can pay respects, make wishes, and even try fortune sticks. They also sell amulets here.
• Taipa
Take a bus or walk to Taipa, a hub for food, souvenirs, restaurants, and cafes. Nearby, you'll find the Ruins of Saint Paul's.
• Ruins of Saint Paul's
An iconic historic church in Macau, built in 1602 and completed in 1637. It's a must-visit spot when in Macau.
• The Venetian Macau
A hotel, shopping mall, restaurant hub, and casino all in one. If you're looking for an Italian vibe, this is the place to be.

🚆 Transportation
• Metro: 6 MOP, tickets can be purchased with cash at the counter.
• Bus: 6 MOP, cash is accepted, but prepare the exact amount as no change is given. If using a card, the fare is halved.
• Shuttle Bus: Free shuttle service back to the airport is available in front of The Venetian.

💸 Currency
The currency in Macau is MOP. You can also use Hong Kong dollars and Chinese yuan, but change will be given in MOP. Alipay is also accepted.
