The former site of Yilong Firecracker Factory in Taipa, Macau

I hadn't noticed there were guided tours on Saturdays, but the guide in the exhibition room approached me and explained the history of Macau's firecracker industry from its inception to its demise. The factory is actually near Rua do Cunha. If you take the bus and get off at the Carmo Swimming Pool stop on Rua do Fernando do Bravo, you'll see the exterior wall. The firecracker factory is currently undergoing a revitalization project, with parts of it now turned into a cafe and exhibition room. A closer look at the introduction inside the exhibition room, and then at each factory building, pool, and partition wall in the old site, will give you a better understanding of their function. It's now a small park, a place for residents and tourists to relax.
