Hit all the right spots - highly recommended

My wife and I had a great time at Centara Grand. Check-in at the end of October 2023, 5 days and 4 nights. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel in the Maldives and will most likely return again as we found the price to be the most reasonable including seaplane transfers and all inclusive plan. For those who want privacy and the quintessential Maldivian experience, a water villa with a pool would be ideal (although some large yachts may be anchored further out, along with the occasional snorkeler).

The villas and restaurant were pristine, housekeeping was provided twice daily with great attention to detail and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. SuanBua’s Thai food and Azzuri Mare’s Italian food hit the spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. Complimentary use of non-motorized water sports equipment. Weather permitting, the hotel provides raincoats and slippers just in case.

Highlight of our trip: Managed to snorkel with whale sharks and manta rays as part of a free tour (we went ahead and paid for it twice since we didn't catch it on the first trip).

Thanks to the water sports team - Akram, Shamil and the respective captains and crews. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Svetslana met us at the seaplane and Nalin did the usual check-in formalities for us.

Maybe something to ponder (we had to be a bit picky) - some snacks/fruits for the long trips (we brought our own but we noticed not everyone did). Adding specials of the day to the already great Thai and Italian menus keeps those who stay longer interested (it was starting to feel repetitive for us).
