Escape to Mae Kampong: Nature & Chill Vibes Only!

Just got back from a dreamy day trip to Mae Kampong, a peaceful mountain village tucked away in the hills outside of Chiang Mai. It’s the perfect escape from the heat and the hustle of city life. 🏞️✨

I booked a shared van for only 350 THB round trip from Old Town – super easy and budget-friendly! You can catch the van on Warorot Road, near Chiang Mai’s central market.

🕒 The journey took about 1.5 to 2 hours, winding through lush green hills before arriving at this charming village surrounded by nature. One of Mae Kampong’s main highlights is its traditional wooden architecture, which gives the whole place a warm, timeless feel. 🏡🌿

There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants to check out. After snacking on fresh local fruits, I enjoyed a cup of hot, aromatic coffee at Lud Pud Pa Peng Coffee and Proud Cafe – both super cozy spots to unwind and breathe in the cool, quiet mountain air. ☕🍃

If you’re craving a peaceful nature escape, Mae Kampung is a perfect breath of fresh air – literally. 💚
