Wat Pa Dara Phirom Royal Monastery 🛕
Address: Rim Tai Subdistrict, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province
🚘 Travel - Leave Chiang Mai city on Highway 107 heading to Mae Rim District. Go straight until you reach the 7th Infantry Division on the left. Turn left and you will see a sign for Samoeng District. Take Highway 4087 and continue straight for about 4 kilometers. The temple will be on the left.
Atmosphere/Location - Wat Pa Dara Phirom is another royal monastery in Chiang Mai Province that is over 100 years old. The temple was named after Princess Dara Rasami, the consort of King Rama V.
The area inside the temple is large, spacious, and shady. It has beautiful Lanna architecture, including carvings, stucco, and paintings. It is very delicate and beautiful. For those who visit Chiang Mai, it is a passageway to many tourist attractions. Stop by to pay homage, make merit, and gain good fortune.
Highlights - Tooth Relic or Glass Tooth Relic The relics of the Lord Buddha were obtained from the That Chong Tai Pagoda, Chiang Tung State, Burma.
🧍♀️ Dress code: Women are prohibited from wearing shorts, but sarongs are available for borrowing.
🚙 There is sufficient parking space. In front of the temple, there is a food truck selling food. I recommend eating coconut ice cream. It is delicious, fragrant, creamy, and refreshing.
