Wat Pa Dara Phirom

Wat Pa Dara Phirom, a beautiful temple in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, is located in Camp Dararasmi.
It is a third-class royal temple with Lanna architecture.

It used to be an abandoned cemetery near the Dara Phirom Palace of Chao Dara Rasmi.
After Luang Pu Man Phurithatto came to stay on pilgrimage and practice meditation,
the villagers later became faithful and built a temple called Wat Pa Wiwek Chittaram or Wat Pa Rerai. Later, the descendants of Chao Dara Rasmi, Chao Ladakam Na Chiang Mai, donated land in the royal palace to the temple. The name was changed to Wat Pa Dara Phirom until today.

This temple is beautiful. If you stop by Mae Rim, you can pay respect to the Buddha and in the vicinity, you can visit Chao Dara Rasmi's Palace.
