A thrill-seeker's guide to Genting SkyWorlds

Here's a handy guide to Genting's theme park, ensuring you can enjoy 90% of the attractions while avoiding long queues. The best tip is to visit on weekdays if possible. You can enter the park around 10:30 AM. Start with the Samba Gliders located to the right of the entrance; you can skip taking photos at the fountain and return later when it's less crowded.
1️⃣ Samba Gliders is a high-altitude ride where your feet dangle. The wait time is about 15 minutes, and you need to store your bags in the lockers below (free for the first hour).
2️⃣ Next, head to the left of the entrance to ESD Global Defender and Independence Day: Defiance. You can skip the VQ reservation and wait about 5 minutes.
3️⃣ Then, proceed to the Acorn Adventure roller coaster in the Ice Age area. It's not too scary, so enjoy the ride!
As the park gets busier, you'll need to use the VQ system to reserve times via the SkyWorlds App. Around 1 PM, follow this sequence:
- Epic Voyage to Moohaven requires a VQ between 1-2 PM.
- Play the adjacent Epic Hummingbird Flyers, which you can queue for without a reservation (both rides will get you wet, so wear a raincoat).
- Next, try the must-play Alpha Fighter Pilot ✈️, a plane that rotates 360 degrees, requiring a VQ around 3 PM.
- Afterward, I reserved Sid’s Rock ‘N’ Slide, a spinning pirate ship 🏴☠️ that requires a reservation due to long queues. I found it dizzying and didn't enjoy it much.
- I recommend Rivet Town Roller, another 360-degree ride needing a VQ. The staff here are slow, so expect a wait even with a reservation.
- Bigweld’s Zeppelin on the stairs is less exciting, suitable for kids, and offers a chance to rest and take photos. Photos are automatically downloaded to the SkyWorlds App via facial recognition.
Around 4 PM, you can reserve Boot Camp Training, which includes zip lines and obstacle courses.
Then, reserve the Ice Age theater Time Warp, with the last show at 4:55 PM, only accepting reservations. It's a relaxing experience suitable for couples and kids.
Finally, visit Night At the Museum at 5:45 PM for the last session. No VQ or queue is needed for this 3D monster game. Afterward, take photos at the Museum entrance. The park closes at 6 PM, so you can capture street photos when it's less crowded.
Tip: Wear closed shoes to avoid missing out on some rides.
