If you visit Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta, you must see the stunning St. John's Co-Cathedral ✨
📍VGX6+6W7, Triq Ir-Repubblika, Il-Belt Valletta, Malta
Built in 1577 by the Knights of St. John to honor St. John the Baptist, this cathedral is a masterpiece. The Knights of St. John were also responsible for constructing Valletta in the 16th century. The name "Valletta" itself originates from Jean Parisot de la Valette, the Grand Master of the Knights of Malta at the time.
The moment you step inside this cathedral, you will be overwhelmed by its opulence. It is the most luxurious cathedral I have ever seen!
The cathedral's floor serves as a burial site for the knights, with approximately 400 marble slabs laid out 😳
There is also an attached museum that houses works by the artist Caravaggio.
