A Day Trip to Manchester! 🏛️

The wonderful thing about Manchester is its accessibility. Taking the Bee network (trams!) or buses can get you just about everywhere in the city. Here are some must-go options for a day trip:

Slide 1-2: Chinatown
• The spot to get Asian cuisine (Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Hong Kong classic cha chaan teng) and imported goods
• I prefer this over London’s Chinatown, with less tourist traps and more variety for good prices

Slide 3-6: Manchester Central Library
• Beautiful stained glass detail on windows and a huge collection of both historical and modern books and genres
• There are working spaces throughout the buildings if you wish to take a quiet break, as well as pianos for people to play on for free and a cafe for refreshments

Slide 7-11: Manchester Cathedral
• An absolute breathtaking monument right in the heart of the city centre. The choir and service are serene and peaceful if you manage to catch it. You can chip in a donation if you would like!

Slide 12-14: Museums
• The Manchester Museum is situated near the University of Manchester, and a straight path from the city centre if you choose to walk. The Art Gallery is near the Chinatown, so you can pop in if you are in the area. Both are free entry and massive, rich with history!
