Prashar lake and temple are a must visit if you are near kullu. Road connects from mandi via IIT Mandi. The journey is wonderful if you are driving your own car or bike. Can stay at the forest guest house or trekkers den. The early morning view of the mountains is beautiful. The arti at the temple especially during Dusshera when the local God's from nearby villages are visiting is mesmerizing. The locals even offered a sheep sacrifice. Thete are many locals offering small treks to nearby peaks as well. But yes keep warm clothes as it is cold in October.
Very clean and one of the most beautiful place in himachal pradesh. Parashar lake trekking is perfect for achieving nature's silence by not trekking very far. Enjoy your time here with family and friends.
