I really found the stylish and high-quality homestay I wanted in Mangshi: Mangshi Qingfengyi Homestay. This newly opened homestay is located in the Dai ethnic ancient town. When I booked through the platform, I fell in love at first sight with the photos and videos. Indeed, stepping into the lobby felt very beautiful. Just as the homestay’s own introduction says, it perfectly blends the rustic tranquility of wabi-sabi with the elegant elements of Song dynasty aesthetics. It’s full of design sense and style, clearly showing the host’s unique taste. The photos come out amazing...[StarEyes][StarEyes][StarEyes]
-- Precious solid wood furniture everywhere highlights quality. After moving in, chatting with the host and the housekeeper, I learned that all the furniture is made of precious solid woods like golden phoebe, teak, old elm, and black walnut. Especially the large tea table in the lobby, the host said it’s a whole board of golden phoebe imported from Myanmar over ten years ago. It had been used at home all this time, and when the homestay opened, it was placed in the lobby (I must say the host is really generous [Joyful]). Also, the large burl wood stump by the lobby’s floor-to-ceiling window is very artistic. The courtyard’s highlight—the island gardenia—is also in bloom.
-- Fully high-end facilities create a comfortable environment. The entire homestay is smart-enabled, equipped with Kohler bathrooms, Kohler intelligent toilets, Dyson hairdryers, Marshall speakers, King Koil mattresses, satin bedding, a minibar, and more. Guests, the toiletries are all from the high-end Australian organic skincare brand APPELLES (Appelles) Black Label series, including willow bark essence shower gel and sea buckthorn essence body lotion... The luxurious plant essential oil fragrance and feel really can’t be compared to ordinary bath products. What puzzles me most is that such high-end facilities don’t match the low off-season prices, but the host said their original intention to run a high-quality homestay in this small city will never change.
-- Strong design style, extremely photogenic. This homestay is wabi-sabi style, full of design everywhere. The lobby and courtyard are great spots for photos. I traveled alone and stayed in a second-floor king room. I saw that the two rooms on the first floor each have their own private courtyard. If a few friends or a family stayed on the first floor, after a tiring day out, they could relax and have tea in the courtyard...
When I was there, it happened to be raining in Mangshi. Staying in the lobby, sipping coffee made by the housekeeper, chatting with the host and housekeeper, it was so cozy, really felt like home...[Cute][Cute]
