🍖 Detailed Review
Recommended by my aunt and cousin living in Japan, I visited the yakiniku specialty restaurant 'Matsurinen Main Branch' in Matsudo, Tokyo. Upon entering the traditional-style barbecue house, the aroma of grilled meat filled the air, instantly whetting my appetite.
Our first order included beef tongue, skirt steak, and marinated short ribs. All three cuts showcased excellent freshness and aging, but the beef tongue stood out as the star. Thinly sliced and grilled to perfection, the beef tongue melted in the mouth with just a touch of salt. The skirt steak was juicy, while the marinated short ribs impressed with their sweet sauce and tender texture.
The hidden gem of this restaurant, however, was the rice. Not just a side dish, the rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and glistening with a natural sheen. Pairing a spoonful of rice with a piece of meat created a combination that was simply divine.
