Drifting Guide for Yunxi Valley in Longmen Mountain, Sichuan

Longmen Mountain is a famous tourist destination in Sichuan, China, located very close to Chengdu. This guide introduces the drifting experience in Longmen Mountain.

Personal criteria for a fun drifting experience:
The water should have both rapid and calm sections! It should be thrilling yet relaxing, and most importantly, there should be spots to stop for water fights, playing in the water, and taking photos!

Advantages:
1. The water flow is well-balanced, with thrilling sections and calm areas, providing an excellent experience!
2. The water quality is quite good, with a clear blue-green color.
3. Safety personnel are stationed at every river section throughout the journey, ensuring the number of drifting boats is controlled to avoid collisions.
4. The environment is fantastic! There are both artificial and natural river sections, offering stunning scenery. One section even has a waterfall where you can take photos and play in the water—super enjoyable!
5. The facilities are great! Changing rooms, bathrooms, and other amenities are all new.
6. Shuttle buses depart frequently, ensuring quick transportation.

Disadvantages:
1. The water is quite cold! Since it’s a natural stream with a high water flow, the excellent water quality naturally comes with lower temperatures. It’s recommended to visit on a sunny day!

Tips to avoid crowds:
We departed from Chengdu at 9:00 AM on a Saturday, arrived at 12:00 PM, and started drifting around 1:00 PM. The entire experience was smooth without any queues or waiting. We finished drifting around 3:00 PM. (So, it’s recommended to start early!)
