This valley in the Japanese Alps in Nagano Prefecture is known for its lush mountain landscapes, pine forests, crystal-clear rivers, and incredibly fresh air. From late September to late October, the entire valley turns a vibrant hue of yellow, orange, and red, contrasting with the crystal-clear waters of the Azusa River and the Kappa-bashi Bridge, a Kamikochi landmark. It's truly stunning!

There are many different nature trails to choose from: easy, leisurely walks around the bridges, or you can walk to Taisho Pond and Myojin Pond. The tranquil atmosphere is so soothing, you'll forget the time. 🍂

⏰ This valley is only open seasonally (around April to November). After that, the trails are closed off by snow.
