Baked sasa kamaboko in the shape of a bamboo leaf. If you are visiting Matsushima, we highly recommend the "Hand-baked sasa kamaboko experience" at Abe Kamabokoten.

Purchase sasa kamaboko and bake it yourself. It's up to you how browned you want it to be. There are instructions on how to bake it well, so you can refer to them, or ignore them and bake it as you like. The smell of freshly baked sasa kamaboko is different. I overcooked it, but it was really delicious! I highly recommend trying it😊
