Delicious! Beautiful! Trip to Sendai and Matsushima!

I went to Sendai and Matsushima for 2 days and 1 night with a friend!

We traveled by car, and it took about 6 hours one way from Tokyo (on the highway) 🚗 ³₃

On the first day, we went to Matsushima, one of the Three Most Scenic Views of Japan.

As the name suggests, Matsushima is full of pine trees and has a Japanese-style landscape.

You can cross the red bridge (first photo), which is the symbol of Matsushima, to Mukojima for 200 yen per person.

There are also sightseeing boats that go out from Matsushima Beach to the ocean.

There are many shops in Matsushima, where you can eat seafood and fried oysters. (3rd photo) It was voluminous and very delicious!

On the second day, we toured Sendai city. There are many beef tongue shops in the arcade street just outside Sendai Station, where you can eat delicious beef tongue. (Photo 4: Grilled Beef Tongue Specialty Shop Tsukasa, 3 slices for 6 slices, about 1500 yen) However, you may have to wait in line at famous restaurants.

From Sendai Station, you can take the local bus "Louvre Sendai" (photo 6), which will take you to Sendai Castle (photo 7), where you can see the statue of Date Masamune. The ride from Sendai Station was quite long... From Sendai Castle, you can look down on the cityscape of Sendai, which was very magnificent! (Photo 8)

There are many souvenir shops in Sendai Station, and they also sell zunda mochi!
