When I went on a trip to Ehime, I visited Bansuiso, an important cultural property.
Bansuiso was built in 1922 by the Hisamatsu family, the former feudal lords of Matsuyama.
It is a French-style Western-style building built as a villa for the Hisamatsu residence.
Currently, it is an annex of the Ehime Prefectural Museum of Art and serves as an exhibition room for local artists, and the building itself is said to have artistic value, with mantelpieces and stained glass made specially for Hawaii!
