See the spectacular Cherry Blossoms @ Matsuyama Castle

#aprilblooms #thingstodo #travel #japan Matsuyama Castle is one of Japan’s twelve original castles. It’s located in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku Island, and is perched atop Mount Katsuyama, offering incredible panoramic views of the city and the Seto Inland Sea.

The interior of the castle is well-preserved and includes samurai armor, weapons, and historical exhibits. You can walk through the wooden halls and get a feel for life in a feudal Japanese stronghold.

It’s one of Japan’s most picturesque castles, especially during cherry blossom season when the colors pop against the stone walls and wooden structures.
