Grand Mosque of Medan

Item : Grand Mosque of Medan or Masjid Raya Al-Mashun

Location : Jl. Mahkamah No.74c, RT.02, Mesjid, Kec. Medan Kota, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara 20212, Indonesia

This mosque was initially part of the Maimun Palace complex during the early stage of building up. But now it is on its own. The mosque was also design by the same architect as the Maimun Palace but the architect was call in to restore Borobudur, so another architect took over. The mosque is influenced by archetectural style of middle eastern, spanish and indian. This mosque is build up and funded by the Sultan of Deli himself and two other contributors.
