Sailing down the Mekong River on an ancient wooden boat, I was transported to a time when life unfolded at the water’s edge. The river, vast and serene, stretched out like a living testament to the Earth’s timeless beauty. As the boat glided through the tranquil waters, I marveled at the lush greenery and vibrant wildlife, all coexisting in harmony with the river’s flow. The Mekong’s future, like all of our planet's, depends on the care we give it today.

I am definitely fortunate to be able to visit this place as parts of the river are crucial for the biodiversity and home to a number of protected areas and wetlands.
