A couple of weeks ago during my foodie trip to Malacca, my local friends brought me to one of the popular Malay eateries, Asam Pedas Orang Kampung. The restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes displayed on the counter, and their signature specialty is, of course, the Asam Pedas.

There were four of us, and we shared the Asam Pedas Daging Tetel and Asam Pedas Ikan Jenahak—both were super flavourful, aromatic, and just the right level of spiciness. We also tried the Chicken Soup, Grilled Chicken, and Bean Sprout side dish, all of which were delicious.

The ambiance was bright, cozy, and comfortable — perfect for a relaxed meal and good conversation.
Highly recommend for foodies!
