If you are looking for some great, delicious local food for brunch or lunch, you should definitely visit Nyonya's Secret! It's a fairly new restaurant, but still popular and while we were there for brunch, people were constantly coming in and out. They sell traditional dishes like nasi lemak and laksa, which were fabulous. I couldn't get enough of it. It was so delicious. They also do have some western options, like grilled cheese sandwiches. The Hainanese tea and coffee were good too. But I did prefer the coffee because the tea was a bit too sweet for my taste. The one thing you can't miss is their Ondeh Ondeh cake. It is a mix of pandan and coconut layers, but the cake is so moist, fluffy and tasty! I honestly would go back just for the cake if I get the chance. The little bucket is at the cashier. Apparently, it's an old, traditional Chinese way of storing change. You can pull a rope that brings the bucket down to put the change in there. The people who own and run the restaurant are lovely as well. Highly recommended!
