Mengshan Exploration Guide: A Poetic Journey Through the Yimeng Mountains

Mengshan Mountain stretches across northern Linyi and is known as the "Second Mount Tai." It comprises four scenic areas: Guimeng, Yunmeng, Tianmeng, and Caimeng. The main peak, Guimengding, stands at 1,156 meters above sea level. From the summit, you can watch the sunrise over the Yellow Sea to the east and admire the majestic Mount Tai to the west.

Key Activities:
1. Don't miss the Guimeng Scenic Area's cliffside plank road and the 2,999-meter glass bridge spanning a deep valley, offering both thrills and breathtaking views.
2. The Yunmeng Scenic Area boasts 95% forest coverage. Explore the China Waterfall and the Yuwang Temple along the wooden plank road. The average summer temperature is a refreshing 21°C.
3. Tianmeng Mountain features the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, stretching 505 meters, providing a bird's-eye view of the surrounding peaks.
4. The best seasons to visit are spring (April–May) for azaleas and autumn (October–November) for the colorful foliage.

Unique Experiences:
Savor Mengshan whole lamb soup made with free-range black goats, perfectly paired with Yimeng pancakes.
For accommodation, Yimeng-style homestays offer stunning views of the starry night sky and morning clouds.
Visit the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall to experience willow weaving and woodblock New Year painting.

◆ Practical Tips:
A combined ticket for all four scenic areas costs CNY 180 per person. A 2–3 day trip is recommended for in-depth exploration.
Take the tourist shuttle bus from downtown Linyi (every 30 minutes) directly to each scenic area.
Bring non-slip shoes and a light jacket for climbing (the temperature difference at the summit is about 8°C).

Mengshan seamlessly blends geological wonders with revolutionary history. Enjoy flowers in spring, escape the heat in summer, admire the colorful forests in autumn, and marvel at the rime in winter. It's a natural oxygen bar close to the city yet far from the hustle and bustle.
