Naples
is a city in Italy, located in the Campania region in the southwest of the country. It is the largest city in southern Italy, an important industrial center, and a famous Mediterranean tourist destination. As the capital of the Campania region and Naples province, the city is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, Mount Vesuvius, and the ancient ruins of Pompeii.
Naples (officially Napoli in Italian, commonly known as Naples in English) belongs to the Italian Republic. It is located in the Campania region and serves as the capital of both the region and Naples province. On the map, the city stretches along the northern shore of the Bay of Naples in the Tyrrhenian Sea, extending from east to west. To the north, it is close to Mount Vesuvius, and its unique geographical position makes it an important hub connecting Mediterranean shipping routes.
