Big Energy and Hidden Corners in Ciudad de México

#holidayitinerary Exploring Ciudad de México is like jumping into a giant mix of color, sound, food, and chaos in the best way. It’s massive, yeah, but every neighborhood has its own flavor. One minute you’re walking through leafy streets in Coyoacán with chill cafés and street art, and the next you’re in Centro Histórico, dodging pigeons in the Zócalo and staring at ancient ruins next to colonial cathedrals.
The food? Unreal. Tacos on every corner, late-night tamales, churros, markets full of stuff you’ve never tried but totally should. You don’t need to plan every second here, just pick a direction and start walking. Roma and Condesa are great for wandering, with little parks, cool bookstores, and tons of spots to grab a drink or snack.
The metro’s super cheap but packed, so be ready. Also, bring comfy shoes, this city is made for walking. It’s loud, it’s busy, it’s got layers, and somehow it all works. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to.
