The Harusame Observatory in Osatsu-cho, Toba City, Mie Prefecture, is a hidden gem with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and Matoya Bay.
A monument commemorating the victims of the Harusame destroyer, which ran aground during the Meiji era, has been erected here, and it is a quiet place where history and nature blend together.
From the observation deck, you can see the Anorisaki Lighthouse, and at dusk, a beautiful view spreads out before you, where the sky and sea seem to blend together 🌅
On the day I visited, I felt a sudden lightening of my heart in the silence where only the sounds of the wind and waves could be heard.
There were few people, and it was a luxurious time as if I had the magnificent view all to myself✨
