Take a bus from Aso Station and arrive at Kurokawa Onsen. This is a hot spring town in a small rural village located on a high mountain road. It is a small town that is difficult to get to unless you take a bus or a taxi, but because it is so popular, most people got off here. From the beginning, the atmosphere was so impressive, as if you had escaped the hectic city and arrived in a quiet town surrounded by autumn leaves and various trees.

There were various small shops in the town. It was similar to other famous hot spring towns, but the atmosphere of the shops was more local. There were many shops selling pickled vegetables, shops selling hot spring-related bathing supplies, and confectionery shops selling various snacks. Since it is a small town, there were no convenience stores, and there were only one or two places like a neighborhood supermarket.

The accommodation was an inn called [Yumerindo]. The service was good, the room was cozy, and the view was amazing, with a small garden. The hot spring bath had an open-air bath, so you could enjoy the hot spring while taking in the beautiful view outside, and the food was luxurious kaiseki cuisine. The price is by no means cheap, but I recommend it because you get a valuable experience for what you pay.

Kurokawa Onsen is perfect for a quiet and healing experience while enjoying delicious food and warm hot springs in a small and cozy hot spring village in beautiful nature. If you come to Kumamoto, you should definitely come here!!
