I have been to Osaka no less than ten times, and every time during the autumn leaves season I go to Nara and Kyoto. This time, on the recommendation of a local friend, I went to Minoo Park in the north of Osaka, which is only a little over half an hour's drive away.
Although it is located near a big city, the air is so fresh that it seems to revitalize your lungs. This is also one of the 100 best forests for forest bathing in Japan. There are beautiful sights everywhere on the way to Minoo Waterfall; due to the abundant water flow, the waterfall presents a spectacular momentum.
On the way back, I bought some oden at the stall. During the red leaf season, there are also fried maple leaves for me to try. The sweet taste is not available anywhere else.
