"Tsukechikyo" is located deep in the mountains of Nakatsugawa City, facing Nagano Prefecture, in the eastern part of Gifu Prefecture.
This scenic spot in Gifu has been selected as one of the 100 best forests for forest bathing in Japan, one of the 50 best waters in Gifu Prefecture, and one of the 33 best places for autumn leaves in Hida Mino.
Its refreshing water, air, and negative ions make it a cool spot where you don't need an air conditioner! The water of the "Aokawa" river flowing through the gorge is so clear that it's an emerald green that you can almost get sucked in.
There is a promenade inside the gorge, and about 800m from the entrance, there is the "Kannon Falls" that flows over the rock face, and just below that is the "Fudo Falls" with its dynamic water volume.
There is a gazebo at the observation deck, and Fudo is enshrined next to it.
A carpet of beautiful moss is also spread next to the beautiful clear stream, making it a great place for moss lovers.
📍Location: Shimoura, 1-ku, Tsukechi-cho, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture
💰Admission fee, parking free (however, 200 yen environmental improvement fee *optional)
🚗Access: About 50 minutes by car from Nakatsugawa IC on the Chuo Expressway, about 40 minutes by car from Gero Onsen
