A hidden serene heaven moments from Osaka

Beyond the typical daruma photos ubiquitously found on Instagram, Katsuoji is a true gem of a place. I came on a rainy day at the beginning of summer, and found myself in awe of the serene beauty very few instagram posts manage to cover. It’s an expansive area, with abundance of photogenic spots but above all..it has a certain charm that is so peaceful and so characteristically Japan that’ll leave you wonder how such place could even exist.
Its stunningly lush green will turn into fiery red in autumn, making it a definite must-see on your Osaka itinerary.
