Going on vacation to the Maldives this time was truly a highlight of my life! Blue skies and white clouds paired with jelly-like seas, every snap looks like a masterpiece. Sharing my 6 days and 5 nights dream trip, with both relaxation and adventure experiences~
🏖️Day 1-Day 2: First Encounter with the Maldives
After checking in at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, I was immediately captivated by the infinity pool + private beach combo. The hotel’s overwater villas with ocean views are amazing; every morning I woke up to a 180-degree sea view, and the bed was decorated with flower petals (I recommend requesting honeymoon decorations when booking). In the afternoon, I joined the hotel’s snorkeling lesson, and the instructor was super patient. At sunset, I ordered a special cocktail at the beach bar, watching the evening glow was simply so enjoyable~
🌊Day 3: Deep Sea Fishing and Snorkeling
I signed up for the hotel’s half-day deep sea fishing tour and caught a huge grouper! The chef made sashimi and grilled fish for us on the spot, incredibly fresh. In the afternoon, I went snorkeling at the House Reef (equipment provided free by the hotel) and saw clownfish and sea turtles. Special reminder: be sure to apply sunscreen well—I still got a sexy tank top tan line despite using sunscreen...
🦈Day 4: Dolphin Watching + Sunset Cruise
The most surprising day! We went out on a Dhoni yacht and encountered a pod of dolphins dancing beside the boat. The captain prepared champagne and snacks, watching the sunset in the middle of the Indian Ocean was super romantic. In the evening, I had authentic seafood pasta at the island’s Italian restaurant The Pearl (about $80 per person, but worth it).
🏝️Day 5: Private Sandbank Picnic
I booked the hotel’s sandbank picnic service (must reserve 2 days in advance), and the speedboat took us to an uninhabited island. The chef prepared lobster and steak on site, a perfect photo spot! In the afternoon, I soaked in the hotel’s AWAY Spa and had a coconut oil massage (highly recommend the 90-minute package).
🍹Day 6: Reluctant to Leave
Before leaving, I tried kayaking at the hotel’s overwater fitness center (free), the water was so clear I could see the coral on the seabed. The front desk was very thoughtful, knowing our flight was at night and arranged a late checkout.
✨Useful Tips:
1. Remember to bring a UK plug adapter
2. Tips don’t need to be much, $1-2 each time is fine
3. Most resorts accept Visa/MasterCard
4. Seaplane noise is loud, earplugs are recommended
5. Ladies, bring several fairy dresses for different photo themes every day
This is truly a place you don’t want to leave once you arrive, I’m already planning my second trip! The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort
