🚗🌸 A Spring Evening Drive to Yokosuka's Shrines and Carp Streamers
Driving through Yokosuka City on a spring evening, a tranquil shrine suddenly catches your eye.
The grounds are bathed in the soft western sun, accented with cherry blossoms and azaleas, and the breeze blowing through the approach feels pleasant.
Speaking of seasonal scenery, carp streamers swimming in the sky are a must-see.
They are hoisted along rivers, in residential plazas, and even within shrine grounds, and their lazily swaying silhouette in the evening light evokes a sense of nostalgia.
It was a moment that made me want to stop the car and take a picture.
In Yokosuka, stopping at shrines by the sea or on hills offers the chance to watch the sun set over the torii gates and carp streamers dancing in the blue sky.
The sea breeze and the spring colors combine to create a spring drive that is uniquely Yokosuka.
