Duanshen Reservoir is a tourist attraction located in Qingyuan Village, Duanshen Township, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.
Boating on the lake, one sees mountains ringed by water, winding paths and peaks. Looking out, one sees mountains of varying heights, some standing like verdant screens, some spiraling like a shroud of jade, some towering pillars, and some rolling hills. On a clear day, the blue sky, white clouds, verdant trees, and red flowers are reflected in the lake, creating a scene that is subtle in stillness and hazy in movement. Interspersed with the sounds of trickling springs, birdsong, and leaping fish, a poetic and picturesque scene emerges.
Below the lake dam, another scene unfolds. Rocks rise and fall, piled up for miles, streams gurgle, and springs gurgle. Visitors can gather a bunch of wildflowers, scoop up a handful of river water, lie down, rest, wash, or bathe, and gaze up at the ever-changing sea of clouds, gathering and dispersing, all of which bring them a sense of relaxation and joy.
