the rescape
If you are looking for a place where you can truly relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is definitely the perfect resort.
The resort is built on the east side of Miyakojima, on the border between the forest and the sea, where untouched nature remains.
The moment I passed through the entrance, the air changed and I felt my breathing become deeper.
🏝️ A hideaway on an island surrounded by silence
The charm of the rescape is, first and foremost, its "silence".
The natural beach and emerald green sea that are not tourist destinations spread out before you. All you can hear is the sound of the wind and waves, making you feel like "Ah, I am living in a time that can only be here now".
Already from the moment I checked in, I felt like the switch to the extraordinary was turned on.
🛏️ Rooms with a sense of privacy
This time, I was lucky to get a room with a view of the sea!
*Basically, there are no ocean view rooms
All rooms are villa type, and each room has its own private pool.
Read a book on the terrace, or float quietly in the pool while watching the stars at night.
You'll realize how happy it is to be able to spend your time at your own pace without having to worry about anyone.
🍽️ Mealtime is also a memorable experience
The restaurant offers French and Japanese courses using local ingredients, making it a special experience that goes beyond just a meal.
In the morning, you can choose a plate-style breakfast and enjoy a leisurely start to your day while looking at the greenery in front of you.
🌅 Activities that will soothe your soul
During your stay, there are plenty of programs to "enjoy with all five senses" that you can't experience in your daily life, such as morning yoga, sunrise walks, and marshmallow experiences by a bonfire.
I participated in morning yoga, and the time to breathe quietly as the sun rose really seemed to cleanse my soul.
The Rescape is far from flashy services and tourist bustle, but instead, what you get is "heartfelt relaxation."
Traveling to "do something" is fun, but the luxury of being able to choose to "do nothing" may be something that only adults can enjoy.
The time spent at the Rescape is more of a "mental detox" than a "trip."
It was a quiet and peaceful few days where I was able to get away from my smartphone and social media and rediscover myself.
When I feel a bit tired or want to take care of myself, it's a place I always want to come back to.
That's what the Rescape is to me.
