Mobara Park has this effortless beauty to it. It’s big enough to explore but small enough to feel cozy — perfect for a half-day trip if you’re in Chiba. The sakura trees line the central pond, and during peak bloom, the reflections are unreal. I came in the early afternoon, grabbed a bento from a convenience store, and had a relaxed hanami picnic under one of the biggest cherry trees I’ve seen. Families and older couples were out with tarps and snacks, and the whole scene felt warm and community-driven. There’s also a gorgeous weeping cherry tree by the water that draws a small crowd, but not in an overwhelming way. I shot a timelapse of the petals drifting into the pond and posted it with #cherryblossom25 — easily one of the most peaceful clips I’ve made. Mobara Park is a quiet win and a perfect place to just slow down and feel the season.
