Moganshan Vacation

Moganshan is a perfect place for a quick getaway. Though there is no airport or train connection, you can easily get there by bus or taxi from either Hangzhou or Shanghai, though Hangzhou is much closer.

Within the town there are plenty of places to stay. You won't find any big hotel chains, but that's the beauty of Moganshan. Every place here is unique. Yes, there are luxury hotels, but the best places to stay are the smaller hotels that only have a couple of rooms. You can even rent out the entire space.

While you are there, you can get to the top of Moganshan by taking the shuttle bus. Personally, I would have enjoyed hiking up, but it's all along the roads plied with busses. Luckily, on my way down, I found a different path that cut through the bamboo forest.
