Mandarin Villa.

Beautiful converted villa set in beautiful gardens. From the moment we entered the vibe was comfort and homely service. Excellent staff from the front end to the restaurant and housekeeping. We joined a tour group from the US and we were pleasantly surprised at the high standard of tourist lodging. Very nicely decorated and visually appealing. Very nice touches throughout the property, including the fireplace and fire pit to ward off the winter chill. Our room was in the main building on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room was in good condition, very clean and well maintained. Beds, linens and robes are top quality. Sleep quality was excellent for quiet grounds. Room wifi works but not fast. Food service is very good. The breakfast buffet is stocked with a large selection of morning foods, strong hot coffee and tea, and cooked to order eggs. Not wanting to venture out after touring all day we had dinner on two nights and both experiences were positive. The staff are attentive and knowledgable of the evening menu and wine. Their chicken tagine set the bar very high for this Moroccan holiday. The bar staff are friendly and the ambiance of the lounge area takes you back to a magical era of cocktails, billiards and jazz music. Charming property, wonderful staff, comfortable lodging and superb location all combined for this positive review. Very happy with the choice of Discovery Tours at Villa Mandarine and would recommend this property for a relaxing stay in Rabat.
