The Churaumi Aquarium🦭 is a must-see! The whale shark there is always impressive, no matter how many times you visit. If you go to Churaumi, make sure to check out the Manatee Pavilion too! It's a bit farther from the main building, but you can see rare manatees, which are said to be the origin of mermaid🧜♀️ legends.
The famous cliff, Manzamo, has been newly renovated and looks beautiful! There are now facilities where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy various foods, and a designated sightseeing route has been created, making it easier to visit than before! (Though this was already done a few years ago, haha)
When it comes to Okinawan cuisine, there are many options, but steak🥩 is a standout. There are chain restaurants where you can enjoy it affordably, so ask a taxi driver for recommendations🚕.
As for sweets, I highly recommend the fresh purple sweet potato tart! The key is that it's fresh, not just regular purple sweet potato. You can buy it at the airport, and since it requires refrigeration, they provide dry ice for you. It's best to purchase it at the airport before heading home!
